Business Description
Message from the CEO
My name is Saima, President of the Saima Group.
The transformation into a company of new products, new standards, and development of screws was steered by me, the third president.
With the founder and his predecessors, they were running a “sewing factory for fabric products.
It was a small town factory.
I had no intention of taking over the family business, so after returning to Japan from my studies in the U.S., I started working for the Japanese subsidiary of the European headquarters.
That company was a “screw shop”.
It was a company that handled DIN and ISO overseas standard screws.
What is the Japanese market for screws from an overseas perspective?
“There are too many kinds of screws and it is difficult to select the right one,” “Too much demand for excessive quality screws,” ….. I felt such things every day.
On the other hand, the overseas market for screws from a domestic perspective was often felt to have “poor screw quality” and “miscellaneous design” …. I wondered which was the right answer.
Screw shops that do not exist in the Japanese market” and “screw shops that do not exist overseas either.
We aim to be a small, tiny, niche screw shop where the two areas overlap.
What we started with this concept is,
· Selling tamper-resistant screws, security screws, and the TRF series in small lots from stock
· Sales of tapping screws for plastic that can be strongly tightened on weak plastic (effective for cracked bosses)
· Introduction of the 310 Slim® series with low and thin heads
· Small-lot inventory sales developed from regular weekly import shipments of inch screws from the U.S.A.
· Analysis service for looseness, torque, screw dropout, breakage, etc., and Saima Report
· Import and sales of die-casting, lost-wax, and machined parts using our extensive overseas contacts
· Basic seminars on threading, which are widely used by major overseas threading companies
· We aim to be a company that continues to provide these unique products and services.
