Indonesia’s Automotive and Fasteners Industries are Growing Positively
Indonesia has become the champion of ASEAN for domestic sales of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles and represents approximately 33% of the overall yearly automobile sales in ASEAN. With the huge number of vehicles, the automotive aftermarket in Indonesia is expected to reach about USD 13.6 Billion by 2026.
The rising demand of electric vehicle also positively contributes to the automotive market in Indonesia. The total electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem market in Indonesia is expected to exceed USD 20 billion by 2030, with EV manufacturing sectors offer the largest total market, ranging from USD 12.5 billion to USD 15 billion.
On the other hand, the Indonesian industrial fasteners market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.2% from 2025 to 2030. In 2024, the Indonesian fasteners market has generated a total revenue of USD 1.4 billion and is expected to reach USD 2.1 billion by 2030. This figure shows positive growth and high potential for the industry. The largest fastener segment is also reported to be metal, while the fastest growing segment is plastic.
