The 9th Vietnam International Exhibition on Hardware and Hand Tools – Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2024 (VHHE) – concluded with great success, reaffirming its position as the leading event for the hardware and hand tools industry in Vietnam. Held from December 5th to 7th, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, this year’s edition surpassed expectations in both scale and attendance, attracting nearly 400 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions.
The expansive 6,000 sqm exhibition space hosted over 450 booths, featuring a wide array of products from renowned global brands such as SATA, WERA, PATTA, MR. MONKEY, UNITED JUMBO, and FINEFIX, among others. The show brought together industry leaders and innovators, showcasing products in six key categories: Power Tools, Hand Tools, Garden Tools, Fasteners, Building Hardware, Industrial Machinery, and Supporting Industries. These categories are vital to a broad range of industries, including construction, engineering, manufacturing, and DIY enthusiasts.
Key Highlights of the Event
One of the standout features of VHHE 2024 was the Vietnam Industrial Supporting Fair (VSIF), a prestigious concurrent event that has now become a regular part of the exhibition for the third year in a row. The fair highlighted locally-produced components from Ho Chi Minh City’s small and medium-sized enterprises, underscoring the region’s role as a hub for industrial development. Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Award winners were recognized, celebrating excellence in local manufacturing and innovation.
Networking, Knowledge Sharing, and Business Opportunities
The expo went beyond product displays, providing a platform for business networking and knowledge exchange. Industry-specific seminars focused on market trends and policy updates, offering participants valuable insights from leading experts.
The B2B Networking Conference, a key feature of the event, allowed supply-side representatives and businesses to engage in one-on-one discussions, exploring potential partnerships and market opportunities. This three-day event proved to be an excellent opportunity for businesses to stay ahead of the curve, learn about evolving trends, and foster new collaborations.
In addition, the Industrial Park Tour provided participants with an immersive experience, helping local enterprises connect with FDI companies and global businesses. The tour aimed at promoting technology transformation and investment opportunities in Vietnam’s booming processing and manufacturing sectors.
Another notable event was the Technology Solutions – Manufacturing Industry program, jointly organized by the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade and the HCMC Department of Science and Technology. The program offered a detailed look at cutting-edge technologies, with a focus on new trends, challenges, and applications in the supporting industries.
Engaging the Public with DIY
VHHE 2024 also catered to the wider public, particularly DIY enthusiasts. The DIY Journey, an experiential activity held at the DIY Workshop area, allowed visitors to participate in free DIY courses, guided by experts from Saigon 69, Nama VN, and Makita Vietnam. Attendees were able to craft their own DIY products, gaining hands-on experience and receiving special gifts.
A Broader Trade Event Experience
VHHE 2024 was held concurrently with two other major events: the 22nd Vietnam International Trade Fair (VIETNAM EXPO HCMC 2024) and the 3rd Vietnam Elevator Expo. With a combined total of over 1,000 booths and 25,000 visitors expected over the three days, the series of events created a dynamic atmosphere, fostering cross-industry collaboration and innovation.
Looking Ahead
The success of the Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2024 reinforces its status as a key platform for businesses in the hardware and hand tools sector. With its impressive international presence, high-quality seminars, and strong emphasis on innovation, VHHE has once again proven its significance in advancing the growth of Vietnam’s industrial landscape.
As the exhibition continues to expand in scale and influence, it remains a must-attend event for industry professionals looking to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving global market.
