Indonesia has become a strong automotive market in the region and with over 280 million of populations, Indonesia became the champion of ASEAN for domestic sales of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles in 2023 with a total of 1,048,040 sales.  Currently, Indonesia represents approximately 33% of the overall yearly automobile sales in ASEAN. With the huge number of vehicles, the automotive aftermarket in Indonesia was expected to reach about USD 13,6 Bn by 2026.

The growing urban population and disposable income among the working population are contributing to the growth of the used car industry. The higher population of middle-income groups in Tier II cities has led to the growing demand for used cars.

As the country with the third largest motorbike population in the world, the electric motorbike industry in Indonesia represents a huge opportunity of US$ 19.2 billion from both a producer and energy distribution perspective.

The 13th edition of INAPA, the 11th edition of INABIKE and the 6th edition of INAFASTENER will be taking part on May 15 – 17, 2024 at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) Kemayoran, Jakarta – Indonesia. New focus for Indonesia Mobility

The development of the vehicle industry in Indonesia has entered a new phase. In accordance with the government's direction that Indonesia will become a major player for electric vehicles. Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 is made concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Vehicle Program for Road Transportation. This was followed by the issuance of various derivative regulations to expedite the program.

The number of electric vehicles that have been operating in Indonesia until October 23, 2023 are 74,988 units of electric motorcycles, 20,414 units of electric cars, 320 units of electric tricycles, 80 units of electric buses, and 10 units of freight cars. This figure is certainly more when compared to the number of electric vehicles in the previous year.

Based on this, INAPA 2024, INABIKE 2024 and EV Indonesia 2024 are a manifestation of Indonesia's commitment to support the development of the automotive and electric vehicle industry in Indonesia and strengthen Indonesia's position in the global automotive market.

Prospect of Automotive, Parts and Fastener in Indonesia

The bolt and nut or fastener product business in Indonesia is still considered to have a large potential. Both are important components in industries like building construction, manufacturing, property and infrastructure in which all those products are taking the main parts. The bolt and nut business in Indonesia is very prospective in line with infrastructure development initiated by the government and property development driven by the private sector. Until now, the demands for bolts in Indonesia is still higher than supply. And making bolts and nuts is one of the most promising business investments in supporting infrastructure development in Indonesia and even throughout the world
