Hardness of material for manufacturing ring gaskets shall be of no more than: - 107 HB for carbon steel; - 131 HB for quality steel: - 160 HB for carbon steel. Hardness of recommended gasket materials shall comply with those specified in table 8. Hardness difference of materials of gaskets and flanges or flange groove surfaces contacting with gaskets shall be of no less than 50 Brinell units, unless other norm is indicated in specifications and technical documentation on the product. 1.4. Gaskets made of alloy-free steel shall be produced with a coating. Coating shall be cadmium or zinc in accordance with GOST 9.301. Thickness of coating shall be of 5 to13 microns. 1.5. Sealing surfaces of gaskets shall have no corrosion marks, contaminations,nicks, scratches, dents and other defects. |
