Our story begins in turn-of-the-century New York, and it continues with the same handshake that has formed a million partnerships worldwide.

1911, U.S. Expansion Bolt is founded in New York, making quality mechanical expansion anchors.

In 1934, the company moves to York, Pennsylvania and becomes USE.

Later, the name is changed to USE Diamond.

From the very beginning, the base product line of USE was high-quality mechanical expansion anchors. In 1985, the company developed an adhesive anchor to continue finding solutions for customers.

1990, Gunnebo Fastening acquires USE Diamond and is merged with Uniset, creating a line of powder actuated tools and the corresponding pins and powder loads.

1995, The facility in York closes, and all operations are moved to Lonoke, Arkansas.

1998, Gunnebo Fastening becomes MKT Fastening. This German alliance enables MKT to access a full line of metric products for the U.S. market.
